About MSA

Building a Literate, Healthy & Well-Informed South Sudan

MSA (Mission for Sustainable Advancement) is a legally registered National Organisation operating in South Sudan. MSA began in 2000 operating as Maridi Students Association, transformed into Maridi Service Agency in 2005, and in 2021 — due to expansion across sectors — became Mission For Sustainable Advancement, maintaining its brand name MSA.

Through intense capacity building from external partners, MSA now operates with strengthened Governance, Management, Financial Management, Service Delivery and Human Resource Management — guided by functional financial, personnel, editorial, governance, volunteers and appraisal policies.

Featured Initiative

Promoting
Girl Child Education

MSA carries out massive community education awareness programs to promote education in the areas of our operation. In 2018, we conducted an in-school awareness campaign using women role models to talk to girls about the importance of education and the dangers of early marriage and unwanted pregnancy — under the theme "Girls Decide Today and Save Your Future."

In-School Awareness Campaigns

Women role models engage school girls on education, early marriage and pregnancy prevention.

National Girls Education Day

MSA supports Government-led celebrations to amplify awareness on girls' education.

4-Year Scholarships for Girls

Full tuition, scholastic materials, uniforms and requirements — Senior One to Senior Four.
